Shark Riders anticipated return!

Since everyone's been so good, I think it's about time I give the people what they demand. Some Shark rider action seems to be what most folks want to see out of me.

They seem to have found themselves in a bad situation here with a Giant Octopus creature of some sort. Even though they're pretty evil dudes our Submarine suited hero isn't going to leave them hanging. Or floating rather.

So I think it's about time you met the Shark Riders' nefarious leader. Haven't really thought of a name as of yet. We know he's the leader cuz he rides the number 1 Shark. Maybe he's just Number 1. Nah, that's lazy on my part. He's tough as balls this dude though. Rocks an old bell diver's helmet instead of the standard scuba gear, perhaps to mask a horribly disfigured visage? He's mysterious for damn sure. Naming suggestions are welcome.

SHARK RIDERS! continued

So I finally colored up a few more shark riders. Did these a while ago actually. I still got a bunch more waiting to be colored. I wanted to put them all up at once but I got busy with other projects that are a little more time sensitive, and I wanted to put something up.

So I had to do up the token hammer head Shark. I mean you can't have a fleet of shark riding marauders without one riding a hammerhead. They're just good subject matter. They look freakin' sinister, and the name hammer head has a certain punk rock quality I enjoy.


So a few folks have been asking me what I plan to do with these guys? A comic book or something? Maybe? Truth is though I kinda picture them as a cartoon show, like one that would've sold a butt load of toys, maybe Biker Mice from Mars would've led into it back in the day. It would be one of those shows were they're the villains but the main draw of the show.
Was pondering the theme song too. Lots of 90's electric guitar maybe, but one things for sure, at some point it would go "SHARK RIDERS COUNTDOWN!" and then list them all off. Yeah...

The Shark riders are not a Dudes only affair. Got some lady shark riders in the mix as well, as pictured above. Hopefully I'll be getting the other one's up soon. Got a few more action shots involving the Shark riders and our submarine suit wearing hero. Also we haven't even met #1 yet, the Shark riders evil leader.

Shark Riders!

Hey Folks,

So here's a little sneak peak of one project I've been working on. Not the big project. That is still yet too come. I just had a week a while ago where I just couldn't stop drawing scuba dudes riding sharks. So I figured I should color up a few of them and throw them up here.

I kinda liked the idea of these dudes throwing numbers on there sharks. I figure they are some sort of sinister underwater team that rides sharks that they have somehow tamed, we're not sure how though. The're pretty shrouded in mystery. They make their coin kidnapping mermaids, attacking submarines, and looting sunken ships.

So with these dastardly Shark riding marauders up to no good, we need a hero to fight the good fight and dish out some nautical justice. I figure I'm up to the task. I'd definitely need a bad ass submarine suit though. Been using this one as my profile pic on the ol' facebook for the last bit.

Here's our hero rescuing a sexy mermaid babe from the evil clutches of the Shark Riders.

I've got a ton more of the Shark Riders themselves, just havn't gotten around to inking and coloring them. Might do that soon, or I might just throw the roughs up. We'll see how I'm feeling.

And here's a little something I drew up for my Mom a few months back for her birthday. I did it pretty quick, but I like how it turned out so I figured I'd toss it up.

So I've got a lot hopefully to come since I'll be having some extra free time around the holidays. I also started life drawing again, and it got me thinking I've got a whole chunk of life drawing that'd be worth putting up too, just got to sort through the old sketch pads.
